Man In Court For Trying To Steal Chris Ayanwu's N10m, Jewellery


 A 30 year old man from the Federal republic of Benin  has today been arraigned at the Igbosere Magistrate Court for trying to steal from Senator Chris Anyanwu.

The alleged thief, Brouno Amoussou  was trying to get N10million cash, land documents and expensive jewelries from the Imo state senator’s home.
The prosecution is being handled by Cpl Innocent Odugbo, he revealed that the suspect is a a resident of 221, Temple Heights, Flat 6, Banana Island, Lagos and had planned with one cook, Alex Sossou to rob Mrs. Anyanwu.
The prosecutor explained that the suspect had brought Mr Sossou to Senator Ayanwu to be hired as a cook at her Imo state home.

It is said that immediately Sossou came to the home, he broke into the senator’s home and stole the cash, jewelry as well as her land documents.
He then ran away to his hometown in the Republic of Benin, efforts to arrest him and bring him back to justice has proven not effective so far.
However the accused, Amoussou has said he did not do it, but he has been charged with theft and conspiracy.
The Magistrate, Mrs O.O. Olanipekun gave the suspect bail in the sum of N10million with two sureties in the same sum and adjourned the case to October 13th for hearing.
Christina Anyanwu is a former journalist, publisher, author and politician from Imo state, Nigeria.
She was jailed from 1995 till 1998 for treason after her exclusive reporting of the ailed coup d’état against the government of Sani Abacha.
She went into politics with an aim to make more impact i there than in journalism. She represents Imo East (Oweri) constituency .
